Since I recently had my bling supplies out for making my last iphone cover project, I thought I would show how easy it is to bling up a pair of sneakers. This is especially cute on young girls sneakers. Add some fun ribbon in place of laces and you have a quick gift. Since I am just a teenager at heart, I decided to do my own sneakers.
You will need:
Acrylic flat back gemstones (find at Michael's Crafts, Etsy (under supplies), Ebay).
E-6000 Glue
Gem pick up tool (I use a wax pencil)
Toothpick
Clean the rubber base of the sneaker.
Apply 1-2 inches of E-6000 Glue with a toothpick.
Use a Gem Pick Up tool to apply gems to sneakers. Work around the toe base and fill in.
Let Dry 24 hours.
Here is an example of a young girls bling pair for sale. The laces were switched with ribbon. Fast and easy gift!

My Husband's before and after Nerium photo at 6 days. Click on the photo if you want to check out my Nerium page. It is a great product with a money back guarantee. Use it for the month and return it on day 29 if you don't love it. But if you are like all my friends you will love it!
I love your sneakers! I still want to do my I-Phone as I am in awe of yours! Merry Christmas
ReplyDeleteThose are awesome!!! Hope you are doing well!

Is there any reason to seal the toes of the sneakers afterwards? I just did a pair of sneakers with bling yesterday and am wondering if they need to be sealed with something to protect them better. Thanks
ReplyDeleteSo sorry for missing this!!! I was out of town. I didn't seal them. It may help to spray them for durability though. I lost a couple stones over a few months, but I will just dab some glue back on and add them. The shoes lose the most because you are so tough on them. The phone covers are a bit more durable.
